TEAM GROWTH MILESTONE
Welcoming fresh talent

We Are Growing Up

Our team has officially expanded to fifteen full-time members, including three new hires in design, project management, and fabrication over the past two months.

The newest team members are Sarah Chen as junior designer, Marcus Webb as assistant project manager, and Elena Rossi as fabrication specialist. Each brings at least four years of experience in their respective fields. Sarah joins us from a residential firm in Portland. Marcus previously managed commercial build-outs. Elena was running her own small woodworking shop.

This growth reflects a deliberate shift in how we structure our teams. Instead of having one project manager handle five jobs at once, we now pair each lead with an assistant who shadows, learns, and eventually runs their own projects. The fabrication role is entirely new. Elena now builds custom vanities, shelving, and built-in benches in-house instead of outsourcing.

The decision to grow the team came from watching our lead designers and project managers burn out. The waitlist kept growing, but adding more projects without adding more people meant asking too much from the same small group. So we paused new contracts for six weeks, restructured roles, and hired for specific gaps. Sarah handles initial client calls and mood boards. Marcus tracks material orders and schedules subs. Elena builds the custom pieces that used to take weeks to order from outside shops. Everyone does fewer things but does them better.

We are not planning another round of hiring this year. Fifteen feels right for now. The goal was never to become a large firm. It was to become a stable one—where no single person carries too much, where deadlines do not slip because someone is overwhelmed, and where clients talk to the same faces from start to finish. The new team has already started on three projects that would have been turned away six months ago. That is not just growth. That is capacity with care. And that is worth celebrating.
